2ATMs

ATMs from Bank of China, ICBC, and China Construction Bank accept most international Visa/Mastercard cards. Look for the UnionPay, Visa, or Mastercard logos. 4Tipping

Tipping is not customary in China and can occasionally cause confusion or offense in traditional settings. However, tipping tour guides and drivers is appreciated and has become accepted practice, especially on international tours. ยฅ50โ€“100/day for your guide and ยฅ30โ€“50/day for your driver is standard. At upscale restaurants in international hotels, a 10โ€“15% service charge is often added automatically.
